Dasara: Naidu to walk less, meet kin - DC

Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu will celebrate a quiet Dasara amidst the people on Wednesday during the Vastunna Meko-sam padayatra underway in Mahbubnagar district.
Mr Naidu, who is also planning to restrict his padayatra to 5—6 km on Wednesday due to the festival, is likely to be joined by his family in Alampur Assembly constituency.
In view of the 117-day padayatra from October 2 to January 26, Mr Naidu will miss major Hindu festivals like Dasara, Diwali and Sankranti besides Christmas on December 25.
The TD chief’s padayatra entered its second day in Telangana region without any problem from T-activists.
Naidu was attended to by physiotherapists following complaint of cramps and pain in the leg. “Though his health is failing, he is in high spirits. He will continue the padayatra without any break,” Telangana Telugu Desam Forum convener E. Dayakar said.
